Winter in the Netherlands... Summer in the Bush
It is summer in South Africa at the moment. And that means average day temperatures of about 30 degrees Celsius. Following a long period of drought, rain finally arrived at the end of 2016. As a result, the bush is lush and green and the animals have ample food. Summer in South Africa guarantees the presence of many young animals; many grazers give birth in spring. Summer also brings many migrating birds back to the Laagveld. This makes a visit to Ku Sungula during the Dutch winter especially appealing to animal lovers!
